It all began as a baby company in 2014, but as my children grew and evolved, so did my company. They wanted fun scents (and so did many of our friends and family!) and that led to the scents we carry in our previously one-scent only baby gel body wash and foaming baby wash. Like many other families during the pandemic, my family and I moved. It was then I decided to change the name of Active Essentials to SoCal Suds & Company to incorporate our new home (Sunny Santa Barbara, which we love!) into our family business. Though we are currently preparing to launch many new products suitable for everyone, moms & babies are still at the heart of what we do. With every sale, a portion of the proceeds is donated to a mother and her child and their communities that are in need. After all, it was a mom and baby that gave birth to this company. :)

Absolutely! I actually use our Lavender Shea Baby Body Wash & Shampoo as a body wash for myself! Many adults use the foaming washes as a face wash, for shaving, cleaning makeup brushes, etc. Our soaps are castile-based so they are multi-purpose. All of our products are multi-use and can be used on babies, kids, adults and even pets! They are safe for the whole family!

The ingredients used in natural fragrances can be essential oils, oleoresins, distillates, fractions, concretes, absolutes, etc. All of the ingredients are physically obtained from plants without altering their chemical structures. The ingredients of a natural fragrance can come from any genus and species of the plant.

Yes. Some of our products contain coconut oil, coconut milk and/or shea butter. Though these nuts are not considered "tree nuts" and under the typical nut family that causes allergic reactions, allergies to coconut and shea do exist, but are very rare.
