This diaper balm is gentle on my baby’s skin. The texture is perfect to get a nice thick layer on baby to keep the moisture away from the rash. I love that it is made with natural ingredients. No problems putting this on my baby’s sensitive skin.

I got the two-pack of these, and the first one that I opened was somehow unsealed (or unsealed as I was opening it?), as seen in the pictures. It's like the "tamper-evident seal" got stuck in the top of the lid or something. But then there was the white balm clumps on the outer edge of the threaded lid area, too, so I'm not sure what that's about...I mean, it still looked usable, but I'm not sure.There was also an area on the lid that seemed to have a slightly pink hue to it, but it was hard to capture it in the pictures.Anyway, the second one was just fine, with the seal still intact and all of the balm on the inside where it should be. I'll probably use that one and maybe toss the other, just to be on the safe side. (I'm not planning on using it on any babies, just for myself, maybe for my hands or something.)So aside from the sealing issues, these seem pretty nice. The consistency threw me off a bit at first, because it seemed a lot more dry and crumbly than I'd have expected, but then when I rubbed my fingers together, the clumps seemed to sort of melt and turn into the moisturizing balm. (This was with the unsealed one, so I'm not sure if that consistency is normal or not, as I haven't opened the sealed one yet.)

We're expecting a baby girl soon and are stocking up on all of the essentials her little bum is going to need. Butt cream in one form or another is at the top of any parent's list but there is one very clear recommendation made by our doctor: it should be unscented. This isn't because baby's don't like scents, but because things that have scents or fragrances can often irritate a baby's skin. We were really keen on this cream because it uses high quality ingredients and was listed as unscented, but we didn't find the latter to be true. The cream is smooth in texture and reasonably well packaged (you get two containers), but with all of the natural oils it has there is definitely a scent. For that reason and for the specifications listing it as unscented, I have to remove a star. Otherwise an excellent quality, natural cream, but one you should use with caution or bring to your doctor to get approved for your baby's bum.

Another hit from SoCal Suds & Company!Goes on nicely, soothing and delightfully moisturizing. Thick consistency makes light applications easy and no waste. Although unscented, there's a slight but very pleasant scent.Good thing there's two jars because I'm keeping one for myself!

Grainy product that melts and provides a nice coating on the skin. And the person who cares for baby uses a little on their fingertips after washing their hands,, tha baby won't mind. There is a mild scent from the ingredients but no added fragrance.Some products you just like - maybe it is the feel or how they soak in but it's hard to quantify. This is one of those products I just like. Gl;ad to have it and share the second jar with my neighbor who's expecting.
