2oz Shea Organic Baby Wash & Shampoo- Unscented
This is a basic unscented shampoo. I like that it doesn't have a rancid smell to it, even without the perfume. As a baby wash, it doesn't suds up much, but it's also quite drying on our 3 year old's skin. She has moderately sensitive skin, but we can use this in very small amounts. It is good at cleaning, but with how harsh it is, and how pricy it is at $10 for 4 oz, I don't see any reason at all to recommend it. It's not competitive. The bottle has a US address on it, but country of origin isn't explicitly indicated.
Love this body wash. It's full of natural clean ingredients. It does a great job at cleaning, doesn't irritate the skin, keeps the skin moist, and it has NO scent - that's the best part because then I don't have to question what "fragrance" could be in it. It has a slightly unusual color, but that's not disconcerting at all. I love this product, think it's great quality and worth the cost, and I don't hesitate to use or recommend it.
The problem with fragrance free is that you smell every ingredient without any parfume covering it up. That means you smell the shea. I don't like the smell of shea, even if only slight. It's fine because my sensitive skin reacts to fragrance so I'm left with using fragrance free products most of the time.I got this as an adult because it was travel size and easy to bring on the plane. Hotel body wash does not agree with my skin. I didn't use this as shampoo only hand and body wash. It's not going to get super bubbly and lathering because it doesn't have the ingredients that cause that. It still cleans without being bubbly. I just pour some in my hand and rub it all over and then rinse it off. I make sure to use lotion after because my sensitive skin likes lotion after a shower anyway. This doesn't have extra moisturizers like ceramides in it so I wouldn't want to forget lotion afterward.Good for adults too, especially those that are limited to product sizes that allowed by airplane carry on rules.
This body wash/shampoo combo for babies does what it says. It is environmentally friendly and organic. The bottles are small and perfect for traveling with and good for gifting so the price is good. The smell isn't the best, but it isn't horrible and it goes away. It doesn't lather up with a lot of bubbles which I like because that means bubbles won't be getting into their eyes, nose, and mouth. Some reviews say it isn't very moisturizing, but that shouldn't be a problem if you moisturize your baby after bathtime anyway.
I used this product on myself and concluded that it would be suitable for babies with sensitive skin and a dislike for fragrances. Here are some good and bad things:1. Fragrance-free, making it ideal for babies.2. Thick and doesn't run.3. Doesn't lather too much.4. Small pack, easy to use for travel.5. Good packaging.6. Lasts very long and is cheap.Disadvantages1. It has a very slight rancid old smell that can be an off.2. Not very oily or moisturizing, which is needed for babies.3. Doesn't really leave the skin soft.
